A family adventure
We are Ben and Elise.
Two passionate individuals, deeply attached to the Cotentin peninsula, and driven by the desire to share what makes us tick.
Throughout our travels, we discovered the spirit of surf camps and surf houses. A different way to experience surfing: more human, simpler, more authentic. It’s this vision that inspired us to create the first surf camp in the Cotentin right here in our home—a warm, welcoming place where you immediately feel at home.
Ben has been a surf instructor for over 20 years. He has guided hundreds of surfers, from beginners to experts, with an approach that is both demanding and supportive.
His strength: teaching with precision while remaining approachable. As for me, I am a trained educator and grew up in a family steeped in surfing. I pay close attention to each individual to ensure the experience is both seamless and welcoming.
After several years of searching, we found a place that made sense. A place steeped in history, comprised of houses and an old hangar, which we envisioned as a complete living space.
Today, Surtain Surf is much more than a surf camp.
It’s a family adventure, and a place we designed to be lived in.
